Here is my portrait of William Walker (1869–1918). William Walker worked as a diver, the story of how he dived in the pitch dark, dirty, water filled crypt of Winchester Cathedral capture my imagination. He worked five days a week, 6 hours at a time, for over 6 years placing the concrete to fix the foundations and save the Cathedral from collapse.
