Painting size 25 x 45 cm.
I’ve been working on this painting and thought I’d share the photos of my progress to date. I will post the final image when it is done. I start with a drawing, make any adjustments I need to, then transfer the image to my wood panel. I ink it then paint in a dark ground usually red. I then use egg tempera to paint in the lights. I add layers of colour and egg tempera. Then I start to glaze. Next step will be to add in the final details.

So much on such a small panel – fantastic. It sounds like a very old process about time I saw some in reality! Look forward to the finished article.
